Applying for Graduation

Student at Graduation

The MATC is a 30-hour degree. It is helpful to print out the degree outline and keep track of which courses you have taken and which courses you still need to take.

In your final semester, you are required to create and submit a Comprehensive Exam Portfolio of your best academic and practical work to demonstrate what you have learned in the MATC program.

Apply for graduation in your last semester of classes. Applications must be submitted by the application deadline. Check the Academic Calendar for the semester you are graduating to obtain the correct deadline information. Be sure to double-check the spelling of your name, your major, and your email address for accuracy. What you input here provides the basis of how your diploma will be ordered, as well as how your name will appear in the Commencement Program. If you are unable to submit your application, please contact us, and we will work with you to submit your application by deadline.

Applying for Graduation

You should request a degree outline from the Graduate College when you apply for graduation.  This official document is the University's record of your classes.  Be sure to check for any inconsistencies: they could delay your graduation. If there are any inconsistencies with your degree plan, contact the program director, Dr. Chris Dayley, immediately.

Thesis Students

Students doing the thesis track need to be aware of the deadlines for thesis materials.  Students are responsible for meeting all the deadlines prior to graduation.  For more information, please see our Thesis Track webpage or go to the Graduate College website to view their guide to preparing and submitting a thesis, along with the required forms necessary to complete your thesis.
